The Runner’s World ispo Award covers one of the largest spectrums in sports.
Presented for the first time in summer of 2002, the Runner’s World ispo Award
has become an annual competition held by running magazine Runner’s World, an
official media partner of ispo.
The award is presented to extraordinary products for
active runners. There are three award categories:
- Running
Footwear
- Running
Apparel
- Running Accessories
The editors of Runner’s
World invite a jury of professionals consisting of sports retailers, material
experts, and athletes to select the winning products.
Â
The awards presented by ispo and
RUNNER’S WORLD will be handed out to the winners during a presentation at the RUNNER’S
WORLD Action Point at ispo. Â Â
The jury bases its evaluation
on fundamental criteria; while products do not have to fulfill all of these
criteria, they act as a guideline for the selection of the nominated products:
- Exceptional
innovation of the product
- High
potential for practical use
- High
degree of circulation potential
- Product
is part of a successful product line, or is an independent, proven, improved
concept
- Positive
price/performance ratio for consumers Â
- Exceptional
design
- Innovative
material use
- Innovative
manufacturing process
- Good durability, high-quality workmanship
The Runner's World ispo Award ceremony is on Sunday 02/06/2011 at 11 am in B4.301.
